Google Adsense Optimization Tips

There are plenty of tips to help you enhance your adsense revenue in the net, and I'm always seeking for new points. Today, I come back to the Help session of my google adsense account and find treasure there~~

I strongly advise everyone to study the full content yourself. But I will point out some of my findings.

optimization tips

ads that performs best: 336x280 large rectangle , 300x250 inline rectangle , and the 160x600 wide skyscraper .
ads should position around the main content.
Ads that blend in and inline with the contents will catch most users' focus.

webmaster guidelines

"Use a text browser such as Lynx to examine your site, because most search engine spiders see your site much as Lynx would. If fancy features such as JavaScript, cookies, session IDs, frames, DHTML, or Flash keep you from seeing all of your site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site."
Make use of the robots.txt file on your web server. Add an empty file if there isn't.
Don't use "&id=" as a parameter in the URLs, they will be excluded from the index.

submission advice

Have other relevant sites link to yours.
Submit it to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl.html.
Submit a sitemap as part of our Google Sitemaps (Beta) project. Google Sitemaps uses your sitemap to learn about the structure of your site and to increase our coverage of your webpages.
Make sure all the sites that should know about your pages are aware your site is online.
Submit your site to relevant directories such as the Open Directory Project and Yahoo!, as well as to other industry-specific expert sites.
